Design

First, it’s very huge. The front grille is Kia’s traditional family one but now is honeycomb shape. The headlights are long and slim and the fog lights are all-new, you can see there are 4 small square lights combined into one unit.

Engine

Kia Sorento has two variants and both of them use the same 2.4l 4-cylinder engine. The 2.4 EX is a petrol engine which has 172ps and 225Nm, while the 2.4D SX is diesel, producing 200ps and 441Nm.

Transmission

Both versions are matched with the same 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Drive System

Both 2.4EX and 2.4D SX are all-wheel-drive.

Although it has used a big 2.4l engine, u need to know this is a 2-ton SUV, it can give enough torque to start quickly.

Engine Performance

The point of this car is the torque and obviously, the 2.4D SX has much more torque than the 2.4 EX. For a vehicle weighs 2 tons, 441Nm can give you better driving experience than 225Nm.

Transmission Performance

The 6-speed gearbox cooperates the engine very well, with such low rev to get the maximum torque, the ride becomes more effortless.
