This Japanese manufactured coupe has impressed the automotive industry in several years because of its successful succession innovation. Its numerous accolades throughout the years prove that the GT-R is not an ordinary market car model.
Sure, several sports car models out there offers different impressive attributes. But if you are to decide the best car among the rest, the Nissan GT-R might be the perfect fit for you. To give some insights of its advantages and disadvantages, we have gathered below some feedbacks from its actual users.
Stunning exterior design
There’s no denying, the aesthetic beauty of the GT-R is classic. The 2022 version of the GT-R still has the classic predecessor Nissan GT-R line vibe to it. There are changes and upgrades on its exterior looks, but you can still notice from afar that it is indeed the iconic Nissan GT-R. Among its competitors, the GT-R is one of the most sophisticated-looking supercar.
Phenomenal performance
Inclined with its numerous accolades each year, the Nissan GT-R never fails to give one of the best sports car performances on the road. Running in a 3.8-liter 6-cylinder V6 AT, the GT-R is truly a phenomenal road beast. Regardless of the engine specifications, this model performs really well on road drive. It is one of the fastest cars in its class.
Easy handling
Attributing to its impressive performance, the handling of the GT-R is also easy. It just goes accordingly with what you want to do. Its actual users and car enthusiasts have been commending the GT-R for a comfortable driving because of its easy handling.
An iconic car model
Hats off, Nissan GT-R has maintained its iconic reputation and mark on the road. Following the GT-R line, the 2022 version offers innovatively upgraded trademarks. Through the years, you could really notice how the GT-R has evolved into a modern car, without giving-up its iconic attributes. From its exterior, interior, and performance, the GT-R trademark is there. Nissan has been keeping the iconic characteristics of the GT-R while upgrading to fit to the modernity.
Swift acceleration
The GT-R is a well-performing coupe as a whole. And its acceleration plays a vital role to its impressive performance. According to reviews, the Nissan GT-R’s acceleration is very responsive. Because of its swift acceleration capabilities, the GT-R is fit for motorsports and drag racing.
Generous trunk space
Unlike other sports cars in its class, the Nissan GT-R comes with a 315-liter boot space. It is a massive space compared to its competitors. The good thing is, the generous boot space coincides with the general exterior style design of the GT-R. It doesn’t look it is made on purpose. Rather, it complements to the side style line of the model.
More affordable compared to its competitors
Available at Php8,900,000, its price is slightly higher than its other competitors in the market, but more practical than others in its class. Although all car models offer different strengths, the market price of the GT-R is fairly-priced according to some car specialists.
Sturdy materials
Nissan Motor Corporation is known for not thrifting its customers with the materials they use to create their model cars. From its exterior to its interior, you could tell that, the materials they used are premium. The cabin finishes look sophisticated and premium. The doors sound like music to the ears, and everything feels of high-quality.
Cons
Interior is dated
It is a very noticeable disadvantage to many. The interior design of the Nissan GT-R seems dated and left-out compared to its competitors. However, this is not the issue to all. Personally, I like Nissan’s approach to the interior looks of the GT-R. They have managed to continue the trademark of the model line, at the same time, upgrading to modernity. Nevertheless, even a successor like the GT-R is expected by most people to go with the modern trend.
Uncomfortable driving
The Nissan GT-R is not your typically designed sports car. Unlike other sports cars, it doesn’t offer a laid-back driving comfortability. Yes, the drive is smooth, but there is nothing special about its driving comfortability.
There’s no rear legroom.
In addition to its uncomfortable driving, the rear seats are not totally comfortably functional. There is no legroom for the rear seats. Although there are rear seats, it only functions as cargo space or emergency seats.
Limited availability
There are several GT-R variants available globally. However, there are only two variants available in the Philippines. Another thing is, GT-R comes with special editions every now and then, but productions or availability are limited.
There’s no manual transmission.
Several car enthusiasts opt for a manual transmission version for a sports car. Sadly, GT-R is offered in an automatic transmission only. If you are into drag racing or other motorsports, you might want a full control over your car.
Lacks innovative driving assistance
A lot of model cars these days offer several impressive driving assist features. However, the Nissan GT-R still comes with the basics. The driving assist features of the GT-R are enough to guide and help you, but the most advanced features present in other car modes are absent in this model.
