Auto Nation Group, Inc. (ANG) is the general importer and distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, parts and accessories in the Philippines. ANG is responsible for strengthening the positioning of the Mercedes-Benz brand in the market, growing the dealership network, and delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction. It fulfills its retail operations through three exclusive dealerships: CATS Motors, Inc., Automotive Icon, Inc. and Global Star Motors Corp.
The company’s roots can be traced back to 1989 when founder Felix R. Ang opened CATS, a car accessories and tires sales and servicing business. Catering mostly to an upscale market, CATS quickly became the prime source of genuine car parts and services for car owners. Through his hard work, vision and perseverance, Ang expanded his business in response to the demands of a growing market. Seeing an untapped opportunity for Mercedes-Benz customers, Ang diversified CATS to specialize on servicing Mercedes-Benz vehicles. In 1991, CATS Motors, Inc. was appointed as a Mercedes-Benz authorized workshop in the Philippines, and eventually as a dealer in 1993. The group then established Auto Nation Group, Inc. in 2014 to solely handle the importation of Mercedes-Benz and soon thereafter appointed new dealerships in Alabang and Cebu. This paved the way for CATS to be synonymous to the prestige of the Mercedes-Benz brand.

Mercedes-Benz has done something strange as the German automaker added ChatGPT artificial intelligence (AI) to more than 900,000 cars. The automaker started rolling out this new technology last June 16 as part of a beta program. The ChatGPT feature works with the brand’s AI MBUX Voice Assistant control to offer better suggestions and expand its extensive command options. It will benefit the MBUX software as, together with ChatGPT, it can provide more details about the user’s chosen destination a
