Benelli is an Italian motorcycle brand that has been around since 1911. It is now owned by a Chinese company and distributed around the world. Although not as popular as its competitors in the Philippines, Benelli has been making its mark in the country since its inception.
History of Benelli
Benelli was founded in 1911 by the Benelli brothers, Giuseppe and Teresa, in Pesaro, Italy. It was the first motorcycle to be produced by the brothers and over the years, the company has gone through a few different owners. In 2005, the company was acquired by a Chinese group, Qianjiang Group. The company has since become one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in the world.
Benelli in the Philippines
Benelli first entered the Philippines in the late 1990s with the launch of the TNT 125. Over the years, the company has expanded its product lineup with the introduction of several models. Currently, it offers a variety of models ranging from entry-level to touring bikes.
In 2021, Benelli opened its first dealership in the Philippines, located in Quezon City. The dealership is expected to expand the brand's presence in the country and help it gain more market share. It also provides repair and maintenance services for all its models.
Benelli Motorcycle Models
Benelli currently offers a range of motorcycles in the Philippines. These include entry-level models like the Benelli TNT 25, the Benelli TNT 135, and the Benelli TNT-302R. It also offers mid-range models such as the Benelli TRK 502X and the Benelli TRK 502X Touring.
For those looking for a touring bike, Benelli also offers the Benelli Leoncino 800 and the Benelli Leoncino 800 Touring. These models are powered by 800cc engines and offer great comfort and performance.
