GAC Aion EV brand could be coming to the Philippines! Here's what you can expect

Here is what the GAC Aion electric vehicle (EV) brand could be bringing into the local market once it launches.

GAC Motor Philippines is looking to expand its local lineup of vehicles by bringing in its Aion sub-brand for electric vehicles (EV).

The Aion brand is under the GAC New Energy division and was formally founded as a brand in 2020. Its first model to hit the market was the Aion S, shown at the Auto Guangzhou motor show.

Aion has six electric vehicles available in the Chinese market: the Aion S, Aion S Plus, Aion LX Plus, Aion V Plus, Aion Y Plus and its performance EV, the Aion Hyper SSR.

We don’t quite know what vehicle GAC Motor Philippines would bring in as their first EV into the country. But given the market trends, it will likely be a crossover or an SUV like the LX Plus, V Plus and Y.

Here's a look at the Aion crossover range.
