Chery Auto Philippines is ready for the 2023 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) on Oct. 19 to 21, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The Chinese automaker announced in a press statement that it will preview three new energy vehicles at the event. This comes after the company brought in two electric vehicles (EV) and one plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) on September 2023.
It showcases the brand’s push for a cleaner and greener future as the Philippine market shifts to other modes of transportation due to the ever-increasing gasoline and diesel prices.
“Chery Auto Philippines wants to be at the forefront of change, promoting a new era of green mobility," said company managing director Froilan Dytianquin.
“Essentially, Chery’s current model lineup will be further complemented with completely new energy derivatives, such as Hybrids, PHEVs, and new full Electric Vehicle models,” he added.
Chery Auto Philippines said its push to go green is its latest development path, leading to more opportunities for electrification and intelligent transformation.
It is part of the brand’s grand vision to lead the future of new energy vehicle transportation.
Based on the outlines in the PEVS poster, the three vehicles that will be previewed at PEVS could be the Chery eQ1 EV city car and the Chery eQ7 EV crossover, along with the PHEV version of the Chery Tiggo 7 crossover.
In addition, Chery Auto Philippines will display its current lineup of green vehicles, such as the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid and the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro e+ PHEV.
The brand said interested guests and buyers test drive, reserve and get additional savings for Chery’s latest models.
“With the preview of these new energy vehicles, we want to show Chery’s commitment towards preservation of the environment at the same time provide customers with alternatives to electric mobility to offset the rising fossil fuel costs,” Dytianquin said.
