The Autohub Group recently held the inauguration of its new multi-brand showroom in Bonifacio Triangle BGC. The facility features display areas for MINI, Triumph Motorcycles, Moto ACCS, V-Kool, and soon, Lotus. Yet, guests of the event couldn’t help but notice the few Segway eScooter units in the storage area. These units were not kick-scooters but electric commuter scooters with seating for two.

It has no official announcement yet regarding this, but Autohub Group executives did share that the company is planning to add Segway into its fold. It might have electric scooters in its showrooms in the first quarter of next year if everything goes according to plan. They also revealed that they would like to offer these Segway eScooters at under ₱100,000 each, but that remains to be seen.

One of the models we saw was the N100, which has a range of 105 kilometers and a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The other was the higher-spec E200P. It has a 200-kilometer range and a top speed of 100 kph. The E200P is equipped with dual-channel ABS and even has a device similar to the black box in an airplane, which records information about the scooter during operation. You may also connect your unit to your phone via an app. While the E200P is packed with sophisticated technology, it also has an IPX-5 water resistance rating, so it can be ridden even on flooded roads.
For now, Autohub is doing its own technical assessment of the Segway units in preparation for their introduction to the local market. You would probably be allowed to see the units in person if you go and visit the new showroom, and if you ask nicely, they might even let you ride them around the lot.
