From the oldest scooter manufacturer comes the newest adventure maxi scooter in the Philippine market, the Peugeot XP400.
Making its global debut in last year’s Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA), the XP400 was finally launched locally at the Makina Moto Show held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The XP400 offers the best of both worlds: the agility and speed of a motorcycle coupled with the comfort and versatility of a scooter.
It is powered by a 400cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 39 PS and 39 Nm of torque.
Edgy styling
The Peugeot XP400 boasts a quintessential adventure-scoot styling with sharp body paneling.
Some key features include dual front disc brakes with anti-lock, dual headlamps, a large windscreen, knuckle guards, a step-up seat, an upswept exhaust, an edgy tail lamp, and 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels.
It comes with a 5-inch TFT screen with turn-by-turn navigation, along with keyless operation, USB charging port and ample under-seat storage.
To ensure adequate comfort for both rider and pillion, the seat of the XP400 is also made long and wide.
Two variants
The Peugeot XP400 is available in Allure (road-spec) and GT (off-road).
To distinguish the two, the Allure gets alloy wheels while wire-spoke wheels are seen on the GT variant.
There are also two color options available for Allure: Aurora Satin Green and Sideral Matte Black. Meanwhile, the GT variant has Shark Gray and Snow White.
Both variants get a wide range of official accessories. The price of the XP400 starts at ₱555,900.
