Several days before the 15th Inside Racing Bikefest, KYMCO Philippines posted a teaser on their social media page about the three new models that they were scheduled to launch at the said event.
Two unveiled, one to go
Yet, at their official launch event, KYMCO only unveiled two: the AK 550 Premium and the KRV Moto 180.
So I asked our good friend Tito Cadugo, General Manager for Sales and Marketing of KYMCO Philippines, what happened to the third model that was supposed to be launched.
He shared that they encountered some logistics issues, but assured us that it will be ready to take center stage at the Makina Motoshow in mid-April 2023.
There you go
– we have another thing to look forward to next month.
So, what is this mysterious KYMCO model that is keeping us in suspense?
Xciting, indeed
In our previous story on the KYMCO’s teaser, we made a prediction and so far, we got two out of three.
I suppose we will have to wait until next month if we really are going to have the limited-edition KYMCO Xciting VS 400 locally.
The Xciting VS 400 is the updated version of KYMCO’s affordable tollway-legal maxi scooter, the Xciting S 400i. We still have very limited information on this model as our friends from KYMCO Philippines are still tight-lipped on the subject.
What we know so far is that the Xciting VS 400 already has Traction Control System to complement its dual-channel Bosch ABS.
It also features a keyless operation system, as opposed to the conventional key of the Xciting S 400i.
As far as we can tell, its technical specs are carried over to the new version save for some aesthetic updates. Phone connectivity is also available through the KYMCO Noodoe app.
The Xciting S 400i is currently priced at ₱369,000. Would you care to guess how much the Xciting VS 400 will be?
