So here you have it, folks. Our wish just came true, and the CFMOTO 450 NK was unveiled last night (August 11, 2023) during a grand launch at Okada Manila.

It was CFMOTO’s official global launch for its mid-size roadster after it was recently introduced in China.

According to Camille Lu of Motostrada, the official distributor of CFMOTO in the Philippines, CFMOTO decided to have the global debut here because the Philippines is a significant market for the brand, especially for its entry to mid-displacement models. This is because we have a 400cc minimum displacement requirement for tollway access.

Tollway-ready

At the heart of the CFMOTO 450 NK is a 449 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin which produces 35 kW and 39 Nm. With its new platform, the 450 NK weighs only 165 kilograms wet. This makes it more than 35 kilograms lighter than its predecessor, the 400 NK, which tips the scales at 200 kilograms dry.

Equipped with a slipper clutch and boasting an accessible 795 mm seat height, the 450 NK could be the most newbie-friendly tollway-legal bike on the market. The Kawasaki Z400 no longer has a monopolized claim to that title.

And with a price tag of ₱262,800, the 450 NK is also one of the most affordable.

At a very competitive price point, the 450 NK also offers competitive features. You get an upside-down fork, full-digital display, and ABS as standard.

Yet, its primary selling point is the satisfying exhaust note the NK series is known for. The keys were in the slots, the bikes begging to be revved, even if it was an enclosed venue.

We just have to sign up for a unit to get some saddle time.

The 450 NK will be available at Motostrada in Caloocan and other CFMOTO showrooms beginning Monday, August 14, 2023.
