TVS Motor Company launched the newest flagship model in its iconic Apache line-up, the TVS Apache RTR 310.
Built from the ground up, the motorcycle’s 312.2 cc engine has a unique reverse-inclined twin-cam engine that provides a compact engine layout resulting in mass centralization.
The all-new forged aluminum piston is 5 percent lighter, with the motor producing 36 PS and 29 Nm. The engine is tuned for all-range torque delivery, which enables the bike to go 0 to 97 km/h in 2.81 secs.
Power is delivered through a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quick shifter that is specially tuned for the widest operating range, starting from 2,300 rpm all the way to the redline.
The state-of-the-art Throttle-By-Wire system includes an intelligent, 46-mm throttle body that provides a crisp power delivery.
Added safety and convenience
The Apache RTR 310 is equipped with Race Tuned Linear Stability Control that includes straight-line, dual-channel anti-lock brakes, cruise control, linear traction control and rear lift protection.
The first-in-segment cruise control maintains the set speed without any throttle or clutch input, helping reduce rider fatigue over long distances. The feature also allows you to downshift and upshift up to two gears to achieve optimum cruise rpm.
A sharper ride
The race-tuned slipper clutch allows for rapid downshifts, allowing for later braking and more precise cornering.
The assist function tightly binds the clutch plates during acceleration to provide enhanced torque-carrying capacity with reduced clutch operating force.
The suspension on the Apache RTR 310 is honed and tuned by the experts from KYB.
The monoshock with monotube floating piston technology has a hydraulic stopper with check valves providing precise damping and smooth dynamic response to achieve best-in-class lateral acceleration and cornering speeds.
When the TVS Apache RTR 310 reaches our shores, it will be priced between ₱160,000 to ₱180,000.
It’s not intended for our tollways, but it is definitely built for the track. Would you go for the TVS Apache RTR 310?
