Would TVS' newest electric scooter be a hit if it were brought to the Philippines?
TVS Motor Company recently held the global unveiling of its latest electric scooter offering, the TVS X.
The manufacturing giant claims the X is the most powerful e-scooter in its segment. With 11 kW of peak power, it can achieve 0 to 40 km/h in 2.6 seconds and a sustained maximum speed of 105 km/h.
“Our dedication to harness technology and innovation towards a greener and more sustainable future has brought to us this incredibly desirable machine," said TVS Motor Company managing director Sudarshan Venu.
"This launch marks a defining moment in TVS Motors’ journey of showcasing a made-in-India EV, the TVS X," he added. "It has been designed for the global citizens, who are trendsetters and visionaries with a passion for technology."
The TVS X has a high-performance battery pack that delivers 4.44 kWh of installed capacity energy.
It comes with the option of a Smart X Home rapid charger that delivers 0 to 50 percent in 50 minutes (for the optional add-on 3-kW fast charger) or a 950-W portable charger delivering 0 to 80 percent in 4 hours 30 minutes.

At full charge, TVS claims the X has a range of 140 km.
The TVS X is equipped with the latest generation anti-lock brakes and it also has a smart Hill-Hold feature.

The 10.2-inch touchscreen offers deeper customization and is placed atop the forged aluminum handlebar that can also be adjusted for tilt, ensuring the rider always has the best visibility in all riding positions.
TVS NavPro, the onboard navigation system built with the next-generation TVS SmartXonnect platform, brings context-aware information to the rider. The signature EV-specific routing algorithms preemptively map charging stations en route for a hassle-free experience.
