Safety Features of 2021 Toyota Fortuner Philippines

The Toyota Fortuner, based on the popular Hilux pickup, is the best selling SUV in the Philippines with immensely rugged body-on-frame construction, as well as modern exterior design. The 2021 model flaunts Toyota’s latest design language, which is more aerodynamic than older models, but still able to be recognized as a tough car.

All variants of the Fortuner come standard with dual-SRS airbags, a knee airbag for the driver, an ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, and two ISOFIX child seat anchors on the second row.

The highest trim level, the LTD, gets 7 airbags including side airbags and curtain shield, and it is also equipped with electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, and most especially, trailer sway control.

Toyota Safety Sense is also equipped on the LTD trim, providing adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert and pre-collision warning system.

The ASEAN NCAP has scored the 2020 Toyota Fortuner with a 5-star crash test safety rating. The 2020 Fortuner facelift models scored a total score of 87.46 points.
