As we mentioned in our story on the launch of the all-new 2024 Honda CR-V, you can check out the new crossover in the metal too!

Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) announced in a press statement that it is holding its “Drive the Future” event at the SM Mall of Asia Central Atrium on Sept. 21 to 24, 2023.

“Making a milestone with the e:HEV technology, the All-New Honda CR-V is the first Honda vehicle with a full hybrid system,” the Japanese carmaker said.

“It is also the first CR-V in its generation with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine,” HCPI added. “What’s more, it comes fully equipped with advanced technologies, the Honda SENSING, and the Honda CONNECT that was simultaneously introduced with the all-new model.”

These technologies are part of Honda Cars’ key global goals by 2050: zero traffic collision fatalities involving its products and carbon neutrality for all its products and corporate activities. The company also plans to achieve 100 percent electrification of its automobiles by 2040.

HCPI said special surprises await event participants, especially when they download and activate the Honda CONNECT app. The exhibit will also feature Honda Genuine Accessories and exclusive Honda merchandise.

Greater connectivity

All variants of the 2024 CR-V come with a free three-year Honda CONNECT subscription.

This allows customers to communicate with their vehicle, check its status and even be notified of alerts with a smartphone. It incorporates features like:

  • Automatic Collision Detection – automatically calls for help to ensure timely assistance whenever required

  • Security Alarm Detection – sends an alert when the alarm is triggered by trespassers

  • Speed Alert – allows the owner to keep an eye on how their vehicle is being driven through a series of notifications if the speed limit is exceeded

  • Find My Car – helps avoid situations wherein the owner is having a difficult part locating their vehicle by sending a pin location to their mobile device

  • Geofencing Alert – notifies the owner if their car was taken beyond a set area limit

  • Emergency Calls – makes it easier to access emergency contacts through the app

  • Car Status – alerts the owner of anything that requires attention and doubles as the vehicle’s diagnostic support system. This feature can also remotely check the fuel level, battery, lock and airbag status.

  • Remote Vehicle Control – allows the owner to control various limited functions of their vehicle via the smartphone app. It includes Remote Engine Start & Stop, Remote Air Conditioner Control, Remote Lock & Unlock, and Remote Light Control

  • Service Reminder – automatically reminds the owner when maintenance is due and it can schedule an appointment with their nearest official service center right away

Honda CONNECT will eventually be rolled out to the rest of the HCPI range.
