Poverty resctricts your imagination! 2021 was Porsche’s best ever year - 301,915 cars sold, up 11 percent

Porsche conveyed 301,915 cars in 2021, up 11 percent from 2020. The figure is Porsche’s most noteworthy ever yearly deals record, breaking the pre-pandemic period 2019’s record of 280,000 cars.

Never some time recently within the company's 73-year history (since 1948) has more individuals  bought a Porsche. In case there was an financial lull final year, Porsche's clients never felt it.

“Despite the challenges posed by the semi-conductor shortage and the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic we have been working hard to enable more customers than ever before to fulfil their dream of owning a Porsche," says Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG.

“Demand remains high and our order books are looking very robust, so we start 2022 full of momentum and confidence in all regions of the world,” he added.

Although the iconic Porsche 911 is central to Stuttgart brand’s identity, it is the regular SUVs that are minting money for Porsche, accounting for 56 percent of Porsche’s total sales.

The entry Porsche Macan is its best-selling model, with 88,362 units delivered, followed by the Porsche Cayenne, with 83,071 units.

Trailing behind the SUV duo is the all-electric Porsche Taycan, with 41,296 units.

Sports cars like the Porsche 911 and Porsche 718 only account for less than 20 percent of Porsche’s total sales.

China remains as Porsche’s most important market, with 95,671 cars (up 8 percent) delivered there, followed by the USA, with 70,025 cars (up 22 percent).
