Will New Toyota Vios 2022 be a Strong Competitor to Almera and City?

A car that needs not much introduction – but is deserving of one. We are going to take a look at non-other than the new Toyota Vios 2022. This subcompact sedan entry by the Japanese maker Toyota continuously slays the Philippine automobile market by being the best-selling car of its class.

Available from Php681,000 to Php1,035,000, Filipinos prefer the Vios over its subcompact sedan competitors - Honda City and Nissan Almera. The model’s offer - is a mix of style, functionality, and affordability that fits the Filipino market.

One of the most important things to be considered when buying a car is the powertrain system. Giving attention to your prospect car’s powertrain key components is valuable to know what to expect from its performance; this includes the engine, transmission, axles, differential, and driveshaft. The powertrain is simply responsible for creating power from the engine to your car’s wheels on the ground.

When it comes to gauging whether the Toyota Vios’ powertrain system is on a high standard, Toyota makes it easy for buyers to understand what the Vios has to offer. Its engine may have been maintained at the same level over the years, but improvements technologically have introduced drastic changes in terms of efficiency and drivability. The most current engine in the Vios runs in dual VVT-I, 4-cylinder in-line DOHC16V EFI, with 1496 engine displacement.

With this engine offered, a maximum output of 107PS/6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 140Nm/4,200rpm should be obtained. Upon test driving the new Vios, this model is fine for city drives but needs more power in highway speed driving. Even though this best-selling car model from Toyota is attractive, and may be acceptable for lacking a bit of road power, it’s still an affordable high-functioning sedan choice.

Toyota is continuously making an enormous number of sales because of the Vios. It is safe to say that a large population of the automotive market in the Philippines has chosen Toyota Vios because of its high-approval rate in both functionality and affordability.
