Owning your dream car does not have to remain a dream. In some ways, especially if you have a legitimate source of funds, you can easily grasp the car you are rooting for. Now there are two ways to look at this – one is to buy the car you will settle in buying or reach out a further bit and buy the car you dream of. Now, you must also be realistic, as in dreaming in real life does not mean the sky is the limit. And so, this is great news if you dream of owning a legendary car – something that has the looks, the power, the tech, and the reputation of being a cool car – the new Honda Civic.
The new Honda Civic has three variants, the S Turbo CVT, the V Turbo CVT, and the RS Turbo CVT. The three letters at the back end of each name, “CVT”, means your dream of owning a manual transmission Civic is now past for the new model, and the “Turbo” means, equally, your dream of a naturally aspirated Honda Civic has also vanished. But do not fret – the three variants can suit any lifestyle and needs or wants, as well as any budget of a car dreamer like you.
All three variants share the same things as the same oily bits under the hood, the same Honda Sensing technology which makes any variant a steal. Things in the interior like the number of speakers are the main differences. You can find them on this general article.
As for the price, the S Turbo starts at PhP 1.29M, the V Turbo is at PhP 1.498M. The RS, meanwhile, is at PhP 1.69M. Now this is already more or less close to owning other vehicles such as an entry level Fortuner, a Geely Coolray or a Ford Territory, or other crossovers, a Suzuki Jimny plus some change! But neither any of these is your dream car; neither any of them is a Honda Civic.
To end, just a reminder that the cost of having a car is not just the price of acquiring it, but the maintenance cost (and Honda has a low maintenance cost), the toll fees, the rising gasoline prices, other things like ceramic or diamond coating. If you think you are covered, then live your dream!
