Driving Comparison Test of New 2022 Honda Civic, Is It Worth Its Price?

Well, to answer you straight on, it still feels and handles like a Civic. Steering is light and nimble on tight corners and streets on slow runs, while very stable on high-speed runs on the highways. That's just about it. But wait, how different is it to drive the Civic to other cars then? Hmmm, the most I can offer is that the Civic has the latest Honda Sensing technology. What is it you say? Basically, it makes the drive so much more comfortable with less effort and more ease.

Driving the Honda Civic has never been so fun and at ease. You can use its Adaptive Cruise Control which regulates constant speed on the expressways and highways, good especially on long drives out of town. Remember when you need to keep it at 60 on the Skyway? Busts your right foot right? Not with this feature.

When driving on busy streets you have a Low Speed Follow which maintains a safe distance between cars and other vehicles on the roads. It even detects if it's a 4- or 2-wheel vehicle! on busy or narrow streets.

The Civic also has a Collision Mitigating Braking System or it warns you if there is a possibility of a frontal collision, a Lane Keep Assist System which keeps the vehicle at the center of the visible road lanes, a Road Departure Mitigation and a Lane Departure Warning which gives an audible and visual warning whenever you swerve to the side and forget to turn on the signal lights, an Auto High Beam system which turns on the high beams when no other vehicles are at a distance in front and lowers it automatically when there is, and a Lead Car Departure Notification which notifies you when the lead car in front has already begun to move.

So how is it to drive a Civic compared to other cars? It is so much fun! It's safer; it's unnerving in the beginning if you're getting used to Honda Sensing Technology, but you'll get used to it. Just remember that even with all these systems, you're the human so you are more responsible to make sure that the roads are safer for everyone and that the drive with your Civic has the right amount of challenge and satisfaction.
