When it comes to premium-level offerings, Isuzu mu-X has always been competitive as it brings out the company's best efforts in providing a high-quality SUV. When Isuzu Philippines popped the curtain to reveal the 2022 Isuzu mu-X, it attracted the attention of potential buyers as it didn't just go above its competitors, but it has also gotten better than its outgoing model.
The mu-X's exterior look has gotten better with its facelifted front fascia. It has a wider radiator vent grille and a more refined look, and it is a lot more aggressive-looking than before. All exterior lights are now LED-lit; plus, it now comes with Signature Arrow Bi-LED headlamps. At the back, the Isuzu mu-X badge has changed to be more sophisticated-looking than before. The D-pillar has also changed to a sloping design following the roof slope. The overall exterior aesthetic of the 2022 mu-X has gotten more elegant than the outgoing version.
Just like its exterior profile, the entire cabin of the 2022 mu-X has gotten more elegant-looking than before. The seats and the steering wheel are covered with premium-quality leather, and the dashboard panel looks sleeker and more refined than the outgoing mu-X. Plus, the all-new mu-X has a remote start assist function, which is beneficial and cool.
When it comes to the powering mechanism of the 2022 Isuzu mu-X, it still has two choices, but the top-spec variant has gotten better with a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX engine that produces 188 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque max. output, while the lower trims get a 1.9-liter RZ4E engine that makes 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque max. output. Both variants come with a turbo mode, but the 4x4 drivetrain configuration is only available in the top-spec variant.
Obviously, the 2022 Isuzu mu-X is a lot better than its outgoing model, which only means that Isuzu has done a good job developing before's already competitive Isuzu mu-X.
