2023 Honda BR-V: Check out the specs and prices before the Nov. 21 launch

If you've been itching to be one of the first people to get your hands on the all-new Honda BR-V, it's time to get your checkbooks ready.

Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) announced in an October 2022 press statement that it all of its dealers are now accepting reservations for the upcoming compact seven-seater.

AutoFun Philippines contacted some HCPI dealers, who said customers can put down a reservation deposit of at least PHP 5,000. The registered owner must also present at least one valid I.D.

HCPI said the BR-V will be officially launched on Nov. 21, 2022, which will be live-streamed on the company's official Facebook page. Units of the all-new BR-V are expected to be available at dealerships by this date.

According to the Honda cars dealerships we reached out to, four variants will be available with either a manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Here are the launch prices:

  • 1.5 S M/T    – PhP 1,100,000

Top-spec VX gets Honda SENSING

AutoFun Philippines was told that the S M/T will come with 16-inch wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights and a reversing camera.

Moving up to the S CVT gets you 17-inch alloy wheels, a push-start system, remote engine start and LED foglights. The V model adds leather seats, a smart-entry system, rear parking sensors, a tonneau cover, automatic climate control and tweeters.

Finally, the top-of-the-range VX includes Honda's SENSING system, which includes a wide range of active safety systems. It also has curtain airbags and paddle shifters.

The BR-V was unveiled locally on September 2022 at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show.

Like the previous generation, it is based on the same platform as the Honda Brio. It is powered by the same 1.5-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve inline-4 used in the Honda City, producing 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque.
