Lexus IS 350 F Sport now nearer perfection with LSD

The relentless pursuit of perfection continues with Lexus as it introduces a round of upgrades to the tuned edition of its venerable compact sedan, the IS series. As the pinnacle of the brand’s Lexus Driving Signature ethos in the compact category, the IS 350 F Sport deserves enhancements that will further amplify confidence, comfort, and overall love of driving.

New for the IS 350 F Sport is a Limited-Slip Differential or LSD. Essential in providing greater control and satisfaction when taking corners, the new LSD now comes standard in the premier trim of the lineup. As an integral part of the sport trim of the IS line, the IS 350 F Sport’s LSD enhances the connection between the road, driver, and machine by improving traction and grip when cornering. Paired with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 315 ps and 380 Nm of torque, the IS 350 F Sport’s new LSD will surely elevate the driving experience of this sport-tuned compact sedan.

The IS 350 F Sport is also made available with 19-inch forged alloy wheels. Now 10% lighter than the previous F-Sport rims, the new wheel design will enhance acceleration and improve off-the-line performance.

A host of safety systems such as Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Automatic Braking are now also standard in the Lexus IS 350 F Sport. The new safety features add up to the existing Lexus Safety System +2 suite of driving assist functions which include:

  • Pre-Collision System
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • Automatic High Beam
  • Lane Tracing Assist
  • Lane Departure Alert.

The Lexus IS is locally available in three variants:

  • IS300h Executive - PHP 3,038,000
  • IS 300h Premier - PHP 3,398,000
  • IS 350 F Sport - PHP 4,178,000

What do you think? Is the upgraded Lexus IS 350 F Sport the ideal car for spirited driving?
