BYD ATTO 3 Premium PHP 2,798,000

Waiting time from ordering to delivery is from three to four months, says BYD Philippines.

According to the Chinese brand's Philippine website, the 2023 ATTO 3 is a front-wheel drive EV built on the company's e-Platform 3.0. It has a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h. It has a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque.

With BYD's latest Blade Battery technology, the ATTO 3 has a DC fast charging time of 90 minutes and seven to eight hours with AC charging. A wall-mounted 7kW charger comes included in the purchase.

The Dynamic variant allows 70kW DC charging through a GB connector while the Premium variant has an 80kw DC charging capability, also using a GB connector. The BYD ATTO 3 has Vehicle-To-Load (VTOL)  capability, meaning you can power common household appliances or charge devices using the supplied adaptor.

The BYD ATTO 3 is similar in size to a Toyota Corolla Cross but longer and wider than an MG ZS. It offers loads of space in its dedicated-EV platform with the following dimensions:

Length 4,455 mm
Width 1,875 mm
Height 1,615 mm
Wheelbase 2,720 mm

Philippine-market Specs

According to BYD Philippines, the ATTO 3 will come with 17-inch wheels for the Standard variant and 18-inch alloys for the extended-range Premium. LED headlights, heated and retracting side mirrors, roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof are included in the Premium variant.

Synthetic leather seats, an electric tailgate, MacPherson front, and Multi-link rear suspension components are standard for both trims. The rear boot space is 440 Liters with the rear seats up and expands to 1,340 Liters with the rear seats folded down.

Inside, the ATTO 3 has a different take on interior design. Featuring more organic and sinewy shapes and surfaces as well as an organic-feeling choice of materials that hark on fitness culture, the ATTO 3 is a visual fest of unconventional creativity that fits perfectly with its EV origins.

A 12.8-inch tablet-like touchscreen display centralizes the essential functions of the ATTO 3, from air conditioning to infotainment and car settings. The display rotates vertically to provide a different orientation according to the driver's or passengers' preference. Over-the-air updates can install future software and connectivity options such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Premium variant has the Dirac HD sound system with eight speakers.

The BYD ATTO 3 has a host of safety features that are trim-dependent. The Premium variant gets six airbags, two front and four rear radars, stop and go full speed adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, lane keep assist, and a 360-degree view monitor. A digital video recorder also comes standard in the Premium trim.

BYD, or Build Your Dreams, is a Chinese car brand well-known worldwide for producing relatively affordable, quality electric vehicles. From the first EV model it introduced to the country, the E6, to the plug-in hybrid Tang and the Han and Dolphin EVs, the Chinese car brand has elevated its engineering and design standards to produce desirable, modern-day EVs. Its most recent models have the performance and range that make them highly sought-after in various markets.
