Going to the mall to buy a car? Mitsubishi thinks it's a great idea

Going to the mall is always fun because you can do a variety of things.

You can enjoy a great lunch, watch a fantastic movie, and, of course, indulge in much-needed retail therapy.

Aside from the usual clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories, you can also buy a brand-new Mitsubishi if you happen to be shopping in Pasig City.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) announced in a November 2022 press statement that it had opened two new dealerships inside SM Megamall and Capitol Commons.

β€œWe continue to expand our reach by bringing our products closer to where our customers are,” said MMPC president and CEO Takeshi Hara.

β€œAs we know, the Christmas rush has already begun, and for sure, many Filipino customers will flock to these two malls to do their Christmas shopping,” Hara added. β€œThe rapid expansion of these dealerships is a testament to our confidence in the management capabilities of the Gateway group.”

The two new Mitsubishi dealers are managed by the Gateway Group, which operates the largest multi-brand car dealer in Cebu. It handles other marques like MG, Kia, Nissan, BMW, Honda, and Suzuki.

Gateway SM Megamall is located on the ground floor of SM Megamall Building A, EDSA corner Julia Vargas Avenue, Ortigas Center.

Meanwhile, Gateway Capitol Commons is located on the ground floor of the Unimart Building, Capitol Commons, Shaw Boulevard corner Camino Verde Road and Meralco Avenue in Pasig City.

Do you think putting car dealerships in malls is a smart move?
