The collection spans four decades of the brand’s rally racing heritage from 1967 to 2007. It encompasses Mitsubishi’s journey in the World Rally Championship and Dakar Rally, both of which the automaker won multiple times consecutively to establish itself as racing royalty.
These clips all highlight moments from the specific year and are guaranteed to come with action-packed rally racing.
These rally racing videos were uploaded for a reason, with it being the brand’s return to the popular motorsport.
The revived Ralliart brand won the 2022 Asia Cross Country Rally. It is also working on multiple performance vehicles to bring Mitsubishi back to its racing glory days.
These throwback videos could also be an answer to fans of the Lancer Evolution, as Mitsubishi Motors Corporation CEO Takao Sato has acknowledged that there is pressure from investors to bring back the famous nameplate.
While a return to racing for Mitsubishi isn’t as farfetched as it may sound, the revival of the Ralliart brand speaks volumes for the automaker’s intent to return to racing.
With the advent of electrification and an electric rally series, Mitsubishi could fit well into the evolving motorsport landscape.
