Jetour T2 to arrive in Ph by September 2023. Target price - ₱2.2M

The Jetour T2 SUV is arriving in the Philippines this September 2023 and will start sales before the end of the year. Jetour Auto Philippines is considering a price in the range of 2.2 million pesos for the off-road capable SUV.

The announcement was made by Jetour China Deputy General Manager Bart Wang. This was also seconded by Jetour Auto Philippines managing director, Lito Jose in a private press conference with AutoFun Philippines at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show.

The T2 is the global product name of the Jetour T1, an SUV also displayed at the Shanghai Auto Show.

According to Jose, the Jetour T2 will likely come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 257 PS and 390 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters will transfer power from the engine to the wheels.

A 1.6-liter turbo and a 1.6-liter Plug-in Hybrid EV version is in the works as well.

There are currently two versions of the Jetour T2, a five-seater and a seven-seater, measuring 4.8 to 4.95 meters long respectively. According to Jose, the five-seater is slated to arrive in our country.

There’s an uncanny design similarity with the Ford Bronco with its boxy panels, off road chops. Like the Bronco, the Jetour T2 has off-roading clearly infused in its DNA.

Accessories such as those installed at the display unit in the Jetour booth at the Shanghai Auto Show add to the outdoor, outlander feels that Jetour aims to establish with the T2.

Jetour is a sub-brand of Chery in China. It is aimed at creating vehicles for traveling. With the impending launch of the Jetour T2, Jetour Auto Philippines aims to add this model to its goal of achieving 2000 unit sales by the end of the year.
