Changan Philippines gains international acclaim for Excellence of Service

Entering the market in 2020, Changan Motor Philippines Inc. (CMPI) has come some way in establishing itself as a prominent China brand distributor in the local market.

As you know, CMPI is the local distributor of Changan vehicles in the Philippines. And so far, the brand has resonated well with the Filipino market thanks to its powerful, tech-packed, and affordable lineup of cars.

CMPI was recently rewarded for its efforts as the local arm of the international brand when it was recognized for its service efforts at the 2023 Changan Overseas Partner Conference.

The Excellence of Service award shows that Changan Philippines is committed to enhancing the ownership experience of its customers while meeting their transportation needs.

Recognized on a global stage

CMPI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo received the “Excellence of Service” award alongside fellow distributors from Kuwait, Pakistan, and Peru during the event at the Changan Research and Development Center in Chongqing, China.

“We are honored and grateful for this latest achievement. This award confirms the ‘proof beyond vision’ of our brand. In terms of service, we are now more driven to enhance the ownership experience through services that meet the needs of today’s motorists. And, in terms of product, we are proud of our growing roster of excellently built, powerful, and tech-loaded vehicles that are out to satisfy customer preferences.” said Agudo.

“Changan Auto officially pressed the ‘fast-forward button’ for a more hard-hitting global expansion, and we at CMPI are energetically pressing forward to make it a reality this side of the world through our excellent products backed by our well-thought-out Vital 5 after-sales program,” affirmed Agudo.

With sales momentum behind its back

The Chinese brand posted a phenomenal 221 percent growth in sales, driven by the Changan CS35 Plus crossover and the Changan Alsvin sedan. In the first quarter of 2023, CMPI cut an even strong online presence, backed by a fast-growing network of 18 dealerships and a highly interactive community of 40 car clubs.

With the moment in its favor, Changan Philippines looks forward to more awards, especially with the newest additions to its local lineup, which carry the latest Changan Vision-V design language in the form of Uni crossovers Uni-T and Uni-K, and the New CS55 Plus.
