Jetour Auto Philippines welcomes 9 new dealers, targets 16 for 2023

After making a solid impression at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show and doing an extensive roadshow in various malls, Jetour Auto Philippines announced that it will open 16 new dealerships in 2023.

The facilities will be located in strategic areas in the Philippines, including:

Luzon

  • Pasay
  • Las Piñas
  • Eton Centris (Quezon City)
  • Fairview
  • Pampanga
  • Isabela
  • Alabang
  • Batangas
  • Quezon Avenue

Visayas

  • Cebu
  • Iloilo
  • Bacolod

Mindanao

  • Davao
  • General Santos
  • Cagayan de Oro
  • Butuan

Jetour said these locations were chosen based on their potential growth and proximity to existing customers.

9 new partners

The carmaker told AutoFun Philippines that six of the dealers will be operated by the Gateway Group, which is the largest multi-brand car dealer in Cebu.

Meanwhile, the Autospeedygo Group will run one dealership. In effect, seven of the Jetour dealerships will be under highly established companies with extensive car dealership experience in the auto industry.

Jetour Auto Philippines also has two young executives at its helm  – Autospeedygo's Yves Licup is the car brand's president, while Gateway Group's Michael Goho is the vice president.

The carmaker told AutoFun Philippines that the remaining nine dealerships will be operated by outside entities that the company has not yet officially disclosed.

This is in line with the brand's earlier statement that it would open distributorship agreements with various parties.

Fledgling brand

Jetour, a subsidiary of China's Chery Holding Group, was officially launched in the Philippines on March 2023.

Its dealerships will offer a full range of vehicles, which includes the Dashing, X70 and X70 Plus crossovers, along with the Ice Cream mini electric vehicle.

Aside from this, customers can also expect excellent service at these facilities as the brand offers a wide range of genuine parts and accessories.

Jetour Auto Philippines said besides offering an industry-leading six-year, unlimited-mileage warranty for all its vehicles, it would also build a stockpile of parts.

Having an extensive dealership network is critical for customer care, as the car-buying process doesn’t stop after a new vehicle leaves the dealership.

Parts and servicing availability is also a must, as Chinese automakers are being judged by the way they handle their aftersales efforts. Some Chinese car brands currently take up to six months to address repairs and warranty claims.

“We are delivering on our promise when we launched the brand,” said Jetour Auto Philippines managing director Miguelito Jose.

“And we will continue to work to bring our products and services closer to more Filipinos," he added. "We are confident that our experienced dealer principals and dedicated teams will uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction and deliver the best possible experience to all our customers.”

Construction ongoing

Jetour Philippines has yet to mention the opening dates of the upcoming 16 dealerships.

However, we suspect that their construction is already well underway.

The opening of these new facilities will mark another milestone for Jetour Auto Philippines as it expands its reach and delivers high-quality vehicles and services to customers nationwide.

Are 16 dealerships enough to get the ball rolling for Jetour Auto Philippines?
