The 2023 Honda BR-V has proven to be a hit for Honda Philippines as the Japanese automaker has announced that its 7-seater SUV has reached over 5,000 units sold, claiming the top spot on its sales chart.

The stellar sales figures highlight the nameplate’s exceptional qualities that have resonated with customers - its distinct SUV appeal that’s confident and classy, comfortable and versatile interior, powerful and fuel-efficient engine, advanced features, and safety.

So, what makes the 2023 Honda BR-V different from the rest of the 7-seaters in its segment?

The Honda BR-V presents a dynamic body shape, with solid lines that run from the front to the back of the body, featuring a confident SUV look that’s classy without trying hard. With its high ground clearance of 207 mm and new 17’’ alloy wheel design, the second-generation model commands a stronger presence on the road.

Honda also offers genuine accessories for the SUV that will give it unique styling befitting the personal styling of the owner.

Spacious, comfortable, and versatile

The Honda BR-V provides an efficiently designed interior to create an even more comfortable and
spacious environment for all occupants. With its larger body, this model now packs more legroom and headroom for passengers in all three rows.

The SUV is also as versatile as ever, thanks to its large cargo area and flexible interior that features one-touch tumble 2 nd row seats, a dive-down mechanism for the 3rd row.

Leather seats can be had with the VX and V models, while the S variant gets high-grade fabric instead for its CVT and MT variants.

Under the hood, the BR-V packs a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine with a maximum power of 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It is mated to a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that delivers better fuel efficiency and acceleration response, instilling the driver confidence to navigate various road conditions – bustling city streets or long cruising drives.

In a fuel economy run conducted in 2022 in partnership with the Automotive Association Philippines (AAP), the all-new Honda BR-V achieved remarkable fuel efficiency:

  • 22.62 Km/L – All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 S CVT
  • 24.71 Km/L – All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 V CVT
  • 23.49 Km/L – All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 VX CVT Honda SENSING

Regarding its technology, the Honda BR-V packs a 7-inch high-resolution touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.

Aside from that, the Honda 7-seater also comes standard with Speed Sensing Auto Door Locks, Dual and Side Airbags, Reverse Camera with Guidelines, Driver and Front Passenger Seat Belt Reminder, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist, Security Alarm, Immobilizer, Emergency Stop Signal and ISOFIX Child Seat Anchor.

Those who opt for the top-spec BR-V will also get Side Curtain Airbags, LaneWatch Camera, Walk Away Auto Lock and Rear Seat Belt Reminder.

Honda’s advanced suite of driver-assist technologies, the Honda SENSING, is also now available in the VX CVT with the following features:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
  • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
  • Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN)
  • Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Auto-High Beam (AHB)

All these features and more are on top of the BR-V’s stellar 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating, making it one of the safest in its class.

The convenient Honda ownership experience

With the prescribed periodic maintenance service (PMS) twice a year every six months, or 10,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, maintaining a Honda is much more convenient and reasonable than the quarterly PMS required by most brands.

Likewise, this is made easier with the 37 authorized Honda dealerships nationwide, where customers can be guaranteed skilled and dedicated Service Advisors and staff, genuine parts and accessories, and the latest vehicle diagnosis and repair equipment.

Customers are also offered online tools to better prepare for their vehicle’s PMS. You can visit the Honda website and find the estimated costs for maintenance so that you can prepare a budget in advance for when your car is about to get its PMS.
