Ford Ranger still on top: Ford Philippines records 55 percent sales growth in first half of 2023

Ford Philippines has delivered a solid retail performance for the first half of 2023 thanks to continued demand for its lineup of Next-Generation vehicles.

The automaker saw retail sales increase by 55 percent from a year ago to 13,838 units sold, with the Next-Generation Ford Ranger, Ford Territory, and Ford Everest driving overall sales.

The Ford Ranger emerged as the brand’s best-selling model in the country, with sales growing by 25 percent year-on-year to 5,436 units sold. Its great sales strength can be attributed to the pickup truck’s powerful turbo diesel engines and excellent features.

Aside from this, the Ranger Raptor also helped boost the pickup truck’s retail performance. The Raptor has reached nearly 600 units sold since its launch in late May. The Next-Gen Raptor showcases Ford’s class-defining off-road engineering through sophisticated suspension, commanding look and design, and intelligent technologies powered by the reliable and proven 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel engine.

The Ford Territory was also a strong seller for the American brand as it solidified its position as the leading small SUV in the country, with sales increasing by 22 percent to 4,493 units. The Next-Gen model has also breached the 2,500-unit mark less than three months after its launch at the Manila International Auto Show.

Meanwhile, the Ford Everest remains firm in its segment, delivering an excellent sales performance for the first six months of the year, growing by 503 percent from last year to 3,786 vehicles sold. The SUV remains a staple on Philippine roads thanks to its adventure-ready capabilities and exceptional comfort.

“These milestones testify to our commitment to enhance the Ford ownership experience with vehicles and services that our customers need and deserve,” shares Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.

“We celebrate these milestones with our customers who continue to patronize the Ford brand, as well as with our dealers for their partnership and commitment to enhance the customer experience. We are truly energized and excited for what’s to come for the second half of the year,” he continued.

Do you think Ford Philippines will continue to have strong sales performance into the second half of 2023?
