After making their initial debut at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Chery Auto Philippines has officially launched the 2024 Chery Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid and the 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid models.

These new mild-hybrid crossovers are part of Chery Auto Philippines' continued effort to provide clean and green modes of transportation, further emphasizing its new slogan, “There’s more to our cars.”

Starting with the Chery Tiggo 5x Pro hybrid, retains much of the same body shape and design as its standard gasoline model. However, the Chinese automaker has added a few tweaks to the crossover by giving it a new Diamond Galaxy grille, distinctive LED headlights, and dual-row LED daytime running lights.

On the side, the vehicle gets a new red accent on the rocker panel and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 215/55 series tires.

The Tiggo 5x Pro hybrid retains the same LED taillights at the back but now gets hybrid badging to distinguish it from the standard model.

On the inside, the Tiggo 5x Pro hybrid retains the same interior layout and design as its gasoline counterpart. However, a few interior accents have been changed to differentiate it from the regular model, and a new 10.25-inch infotainment system has been added to the crossover.

The new infotainment system is now bigger than before, allowing you more screen real estate to use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a 360-degree around view monitor, a reversing camera with dynamic guidelines, electronic cruise control, a wireless phone charger, and an electronic parking brake.

Under the hood, the Chery Tiggo 5x Pro hybrid is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a 48-volt belt-starter generator that produces 154 PS and 230 Nm of torque. It sports an all-new continuously variable transmission.

The crossover also comes with various fuel-saving technologies, such as an auto start and stop system and an energy recovery system wherein the mild hybrid system regenerates energy during coasting or braking. The power generated will then be converted and stored as electrical energy in the batteries.

The new Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is an even more unbeatable package with Chery’s standard 10-year/1 million-km engine warranty, a 5-year/150,000-km general vehicle warranty, FREE 3 years preventive maintenance service (PMS), and FREE 3 years roadside assistance.

Like its smaller brother, the Tiggo 7 Pro hybrid also gets a few cosmetic changes to its exterior, such as a new set of wheels and a Diamond Galaxy grille, but its design remains the same.

Inside, the interior of the crossover is similar to its gasoline counterpart. It still has multi-color ambient lighting, 6 SRS airbags, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, wireless mobile charging, a 360-degree around view monitor, and a 12.3” LCD instrument cluster.

It produces 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque from its 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a 9-speed CVT.

The new Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid has a retail price of ₱1,140,000. A non-hybrid variant—the Tiggo 5X Pro Comfort, powered by a normally aspirated 1.5-liter engine with CVT—starts the Tiggo 5X Pro line with a price tag of ₱940,000.  You may also get as much as ₱90,000 in savings when you reserve at any Chery dealership.

Meanwhile, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid is priced at ₱1,350,000 (the non-hybrid Tiggo 7 Pro is at ₱1,250,000).
