It appears that Nissan is readying the next generation of the Nissan Kicks as reports have revealed that a test mule has already been spotted. A few key elements stand out while the unit is heavily camouflaged to hide its design details.
Thanks to photos from Motor1.com, we can see what these key elements are as the crossover now has a more prominent front fascia with a new set of LED headlights, a taller hood, a more prominent rear with more pronounced arches, and elements of a more horizontally designed grille.
It also appears that the Kicks will have a more prominent greenhouse judging by how the A-pillars are designed.
There is no information yet about what the next-generation Nissan Kicks will have, but we speculate it will ride on a new chassis and be available with the brand’s e-Power technology.
While we don’t have any official photos of the vehicle yet, we do have a rendering from Youtube channel Halo Oto that we can use to gauge what to expect from the all-new Nissan Kicks.
However, take the rendering with a grain of salt as it may radically differ from the final product that Nissan will unveil.
The crossover will likely be bigger than its predecessor and more mature in its design. It will come with sleeker headlights accompanied by daytime running lights and a light bar extending across the vehicle's front.
It will also likely come with a new horizontal grille design and a new bumper that houses its vertically oriented fog lights. Overall, the design is slightly closer to its bigger brother, the Nissan X-trail, which carries a similar aesthetic.
As interior photos of the crossover are not yet available, we speculate that it will come with a sizeable infotainment system that will support Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the brand’s Nissan Intelligent Mobility Suite.
However, something to note is that the rendering seems to be heavily reliant on the looks of the upcoming Nissan Pathfinder, which was revealed at the 2023 Auto Shanghai show, as it carries much of the same design language minus the vertically stacked daytime running lights.
It is now a waiting game to see what Nissan will have planned for the 2024 Nissan Kicks.
