A new look is coming: Kia Philippines to launch facelifted Seltos soon

Kia Philippines has released a teaser for the facelifted Seltos, indicating plans to launch the updated crossover soon.

Kia Philippines has done well to keep things fresh with its crossover vehicles, with the Kia Stonic getting a Style Edition and the Kia Sorento getting its new generation.

However, the Kia Seltos remains largely untouched, so the South Korean automaker is giving it a facelift for the Philippine market.

Kia Philippines also released a quick teaser video on Facebook showing the updated model's highlighted features, but did not include a launch date for the new crossover.

What the facelift might look like

As for what the facelift might look like on the Kia Seltos, it will come with a new grille and new headlight elements.

There will also be more black highlights on the front fascia, while the front bumper has been redesigned.

The sides of the crossover remain largely the same, but the South Korean automaker has given it new wheel designs for 2024. What designs we will get for the Philippine market is still being determined.

At the back, the refreshed Seltos gets a new taillight design similar to what you would find in the Sorento and a rear bumper that brings a fresh look with sharper corners.

Refreshed interior

On the inside, the Kia Seltos gets an overhauled dashboard for a cleaner and minimalist look.

The digital instrument cluster and the infotainment now share one large bezel and new trim pieces can be found inside the vehicle. Like its previous iteration, you can expect quality materials and plenty of soft-touch surfaces.

As for its safety-related features, it's still being determined what the updated crossover might bring. However, we are hoping for advanced driver aids to keep it competitive against its Chinese rivals.

Under the hood, the Seltos will likely carry over its 2.0-liter inline-4 gasoline engine that produces 147 horsepower and 279 Nm of torque with an Intelligent Variable Transmission, which is Kia’s version of a continuously variable transmission

As for pricing, we can expect a substantial increase over what is currently available, with our estimates placing the increases at around ₱50,000 or more.
