Anton, Garrido, Takemura heading for 3-way showdown at 2023 Formula V1 Round 2 on Oct. 27-28

The grid's back on Oct. 27 to 28, 2023 at the Clark International Speedway for the second round of the Tuason Racing Formula V1 Challenge Series.
Round 2 of the 2023 Tuason Racing Formula V1 Challenge Series will be held at Clark International Speedway on Oct 27 to 28, 2023.
In the PRO or Professional Class, points leader Iñigo Anton of Obengers Racing Team, Joaquin Garrido of OTR Motorsport and Japanese driver Kazuki Takemura of West Racing Team are expected to duel it all out once again after their thrilling battles during the kickoff leg.

Anton captured two out of the three races in Round 1, but Garrido showed his pace by taking the final race to cap off the round. Anton leads the class with 45 points, followed by Garrido at 34 points and Takemura at 27 points.
The AM or Amateur Class is shaping up to be just as exciting, with a mix of experienced veterans and rising stars vying for the top spot. Rainy Medina of Autoholic Garage Racing Team and Oliver Aquino of OTR Motorsports are the frontrunners, with just two points between them.
However, Paolo Ayo of Edgesport Racing Team (28 points), Dondi San Jose of Moh’s Racing (27 points) and newcomer Juancho Brobio of Obengers Racing, among others, are ready to challenge them.

The series will also feature a new tire sponsor, GTRadial, with the Champiro SX-R 195/50R15 now serving as the official tire for the remainder of the championship.
The Tuason Racing Formula V1 Challenge Series is the country’s premier single-seat motorsport event. Organizer Tuason Racing School (TRS), which also runs the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup, held the inaugural V1 season in 2018.

All drivers use identical Formula V1 kit cars built by West Racing Cars Co. Ltd. in Japan and assembled by TRS. These are powered by 1.5-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve inline-4 gasoline engines from the Toyota Vios and are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The 530-kilogram V1 cars also run on custom TEIN Coilover suspension, Wilwood brakes with adjustable bias and 15-inch Rota wheels. The race car can do 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and hit 200 km/h on the main straight of Clark International Speedway.
