We just received word from Ducati Manila that Pinoy Ducatisti will finally be able to get their hands on the Scrambler Next-Gen “very soon”.
Fresh from its global debut late last year, the Scrambler Next-Gen is clearly intended to woo younger riders to get into the motorcycle lifestyle.
The Scrambler Next-Gen is propelled by 803cc, desmodromic 2V, L-twin engine which produces 53.6 kW and 65.2 Nm. The new Scrambler now features a ride-by-wire system which enables riders to choose between two riding modes: Road and Sport.
To help prevent you from becoming another Marilaque spectacle, the Scrambler Next-Gen is also equipped with a switchable traction control system that has four intervention levels. Of course, cornering ABS comes as standard.
Individuality is a big consideration among you riders, and that is why Ducati will be offering the much-awaited bike in three variants: Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift.
The Icon variant comes in 3 main colors: Yellow, Thrilling Black, and Ducati Red, while six more are available as accessory kits: Storm Green, Rio Celeste, California Orange, Nephrite Green, Sparkling Blue, and Velvet Red.
The Scrambler Next-Gen Icon runs on 18-inch (front) and 17-inch (rear) alloys fitted with Pirelli rubbers.
The Full Throttle variant has a more sporty vibe with its lower handlebar and race number “62” adorning the side panel. This is to commemorate the year when the Ducati Scrambler made its initial debut. Oh yeah, the Termignoni homologated silencer is also hard to miss.
Having a more nostalgic appeal is the Nightshift variant, sporting black wire spokes with bar end mirrors.
Wait, how much?
Ducati Manila will be offering the Scrambler Next-Gen Icon at an introductory price of ₱670,000 while the Full Throttle and the Nightshift will be sold at ₱790,000.
Units will be available by late August or early September. We'll keep you posted!
