Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) provided brand-new vehicles to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for the agency’s practical driving examinations and law enforcement efforts.
Six motor vehicles were turned over to LTO on Oct. 5, 2023 at the LTO’s Main Branch in East Avenue, Quezon City. These included five Avenis scooters and one S-Presso subcompact hatchback.
Receiving the vehicles was LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II, with SPH president Koichiro Hirao and SPH managing director Norminio Mojica conducting the official turnover.
"Mobility is the key for our enforcement and those motorcycles and the vehicle that Suzuki donated would be a big booster to what we are doing right now,” Mendoza said.
As an advocate of road safety, Suzuki Philippines said it is one with the LTO’s rally to improve land transportation services and facilities, and effectively implement various transportation laws, rules and regulations.
“Suzuki hopes that through these vehicles, we will be able to further increase the efficiency of the agency’s operations,” said Hirao during the turnover ceremonies.
Meanwhile, Mojica said Suzuki and LTO have been "partners for a long time."
"In fact, we initiated a Learn to Ride Program with the agency before and we look forward to do similar activities which aim to foster road safety to all our motorists in the future," he added.
