To date, the best-selling scooter in the market is still the Honda Click125. It is the go-to choice for personal commuting and for commercial use as well.

In fact, it is the most popular scooter among moto-taxi riders.

However, if you would like a bit of performance to go with the practicality we all look for in a scooter, then you might want to check out its big brother, the Click160.

The Honda CLICK160 uses a 157cc, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, eSP+ engine capable of producing 11.3kW of max power and 13.8Nm of max torque. This enables the rider to stay ahead of traffic and make light work of distance commuting. Heck, you wouldn’t even feel out of place blasting through twisty mountain roads on the Click160 every weekend.

The Click160 features an Enhanced Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF), allowing a lighter feel every time you take a turn. This translates to superior maneuverability when making quick directional changes.

Moreover, you can enjoy long city rides without worrying about your budget because the Click160 can manage an impressive 46.7 km/l. When riding in stop-and-go traffic, its Idling Stop System (ISS) automatically shuts off the engine after idling for a few seconds. This brings down fuel consumption further. When you’re ready, just blip the throttle, and the engine fires up instantly.

I would expect ABS on a scooter at this price point, but instead, the Click160 is equipped with Combined Brake System (CBS), which equally distributes braking power to the front and rear wheels by just pulling on the left brake lever. What you get is better stopping power and superior control during sudden stops. Honda fitted the Click160 with wide 100/80-14 (front) and 120/70-14 (rear) tires to prevent skidding.

As desirable as it is, Honda also threw in a Smart Key System with an integrated anti-theft alarm for added security.

To ensure that you don’t miss out on opportunities on your daily hustle, the Click160 has a built-in USB charging port so you can stay connected. At ₱122,900, the Click160 offers excellent value for money and is one of the more affordable options in its category.

Would you go for a distance commuter like the Click160?
