Taking 2022 Hyundai Kona to a Test Drive

The small SUV hype keeps on growing in popularity. And for Hyundai to stay competitive with the trend, the South Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company has updated its 2022 version of the Hyundai Kona. But are the changes enough to impress more than its competitors?

Hyundai Kona 2022 has been updated from its exterior to performance. One of the things to look forward to this year is the facelifted beauty of the Kona. The updated design of the radiator grille, front and rear bumpers, headlamps, alloy wheels, and other contributors to its exterior looks are much better than its previous version.

Besides its aesthetically pleasing looks, Hyundai Kona also has a lot more promising attributes contributing to its best-selling awards. And one of those is its powertrain performance. Powertrain performance is one of the most important when it comes to deciding your next car. Aesthetic beauty is just an additional to the overall points of a vehicle. The powertrain encompasses the totality of a vehicle’s functionality.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Kona’s performance worth your cash and trust?

There are a variety of powertrains available in the Kona SUV, including electric and high-performance N Line version. Available in the Philippines is the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It has the capacity of 147 hp and 179 Nm torque power, which is competitive in its class overall.

The powertrain is smooth, flexible, and refined. The pulling power of the engine is phenomenal and works very hard to accelerate you with speed. However, the automatic transmission can be unstable at the lowest gear speed, but once you’re up and go, the car performs as a smooth operator. It doesn’t have the sporty ride, but it runs better than expected. It is a comfort-oriented and well-performing SUV. In general, for its price, the Hyundai Kona is an impressively performing car.
