2022 Kia Sorento Depth-in Reviews: Is Kia Sorento a powerful mid-sized SUV car?

The 2022 Kia Sorento is a mid-size subcompact SUV that falls under the premium category because of its price range, starting at more than two million pesos in the Philippines. At that price for a car, it is inevitable for us to expect that all its features and functionalities are premium, as much as possible.

When it comes to looks, it is undeniable that it has a sophisticated and elegant-looking exterior that has an intimidating presence on the road. The automotive modernity reflects from its face to its rear with attractive lights and expressive character lines.

When you get inside, the interior is also impressive. Its features are uniquely above its rivals in the category.

When it comes to performance, the road capabilities it shows compensate for its expensive worth. Because of the 2.2-liter engine and powerful torque it delivers, it doesn’t feel like it is a big car as that help disperse the weight. You would know that the engine and the transmission work together to pull the load effortlessly, even if the vehicle is fully loaded.

The brakes are responsive without requiring much effort, which is a good counterpart for its speedy performance. Its acceleration is as responsive as the brakes; the car accelerates abruptly after prompting. Contemporaneously, the suspensions have a stiff approach to the passengers, which lack riding comfort. On the other note, if the suspension is stiff, it supports well the entire load, especially if the car is fully capacitated, with cargo at the back.

Overall, the powertrain system performance of the 2022 Kia Sorento is satisfying according to its test drivers and car enthusiasts. According to them, the expensive price of the Sorento is compensated by its powerful performance. It is fun to drive because of its swift delivery and easy handling. It may be short in some features, but it gives the ride beyond what you expected.
