Apart from its attractive price, does 2022 Changan CS35 Plus have anything else to brag about?

Car manufacturers do their best to provide innovatively developed vehicles now and then to help people make the right choices. Also to top the competition. Some models stand out, and some are still in the process of developing their products. The reality is that even those car models that stand out from the rest have downsides, too. As Chinese car manufacturer Changan introduced the 2022 CS35 Plus in the Philippine automotive market, it initially gained popularity because of its affordability. It is priced from Php 898,000 up to Php 999,000, which is relatively cheaper than its closest rival, the Geely Coolray. But aside from attractive its price point, does it prove that it is worth spending almost a million pesos on?

What do you expect from a vehicle that costs Php 898,000 to Php 999,000?

Most of the closest rivals of the 2022 Changan CS35 Plus start around one million pesos.  This makes the CS35 Plus the more affordable option in the market. The 2022 Geely Coolray begins at Php 998,000, which is already a top-of-the-line variant compared to the CS35 Plus.

The CS35 Plus has good standing regarding style statements. The exterior and interior profile will give you a modern, premium vibe that resembles European-made cars. The riding comfort is also there, and the NVH insulation is impressive. You can barely hear the wind, engine, and road noise from outside, which is helpful for the driver and comfortable for the passengers.

In terms of performance, its 1.4-Liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine gives the driver a lot of excitement and assistance. Although there is a learning curve to get used to how responsive the CS35 Plus is the moment you prompt it. It doesn't need too much effort to accelerate because it pushes itself forward immediately. If performance is the only criterion, it is already worth it.
