2022 Honda Accord Overview: All Features You Must Know About the Fabulous Sedan

Honda Accord is a premium executive mid-size sedan that is offered since 1976 to cater to the traveling needs of professionals and executives. Since Honda Philippines popped the curtain to reveal its 2022 version, it has gained popularity in the business sector.

Price and Colors

The 2022 Honda Accord 1.5 EL Turbo CVT with Honda Sensing is available in the local automobile market at Php2,350,000 and is available in three colors – Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Modern Steel Metallic.

Performance

This premium sedan is powered by a 1.5-liter Earth Dreams Technology DOHC 16-valve VTEC Turbo gasoline engine, which seems familiar as this engine is what Honda Civic also uses. However, the Honda Accord’s engine produces 187 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 260 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm output, which is different from the Civic. The engine is mated to a CVT and is in a front-wheel-drive configuration.

Dimensions

This mid-size sedan measures 4,901 millimeters long, 1,862 millimeters wide, and 1,450 millimeters high. The wheelbase measures 2,830 millimeters, and the ground clearance is 131 millimeters. The turning radius is pretty decent at 11.4 millimeters, and the trunk has 573 liters of cargo space.

Exterior

Since the Honda Accord is a premium executive car, its exterior design language has a minimal yet stunning presence fit for professionals. The front fascia features a massive V-shaped honeycomb radiator vent grille and a think chrome bar above carrying the Honda logo badge, that stretches towards the full LED headlamps with LED DRLs, complementing the fog lamps below, right above the chin.

On the side, the Accord comes with 18-inch alloy wheels in 235/45 r18 tires complementing its whole side profile. Aside from that, the Accord features long thin chrome strips on the upper part of the windows and on the side skirts that emphasize the sloping design of the car. Plus, there are cuts in the lower part of the doors and character lines that defines the chrome accents.

At the back, the Honda Accord highlights its crab claw-like taillights with turn signals along some low-key character lines, a shark’s fin antenna, and a ducktail spoiler. Down below, the bumper comes with slim reflectors on each side and two chrome exhaust tips.

Interior

Inside this executive car is a classic Honda interior finish with a black dashboard panel, doors, and seats, with chrome and wood touches that emphasizes its sophistication. The dashboard panel is covered with leather, as well as the steering wheel, and the seats. The steering wheel also comes with function buttons connected to the infotainment system touchscreen that supports integrated smartphone connectivity at the center of the console. Behind the steering wheel is a digital instrument cluster that gives necessary vehicle information to the driver.

Safety and Security

On top of the standard safety features like airbags and child safety locks, the Accord comes with the latest Honda Sensing package. It is a suite of safety and technology features that includes the Lane Keep Assist System, Lane Departure Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Expect utmost safety with a premium car like the Honda Accord.
