Why is the Almost 5-Million-Peso 2022 Nissan Patrol a Steal?

There's no certainty and guarantee that we can get what we have paid for. Nutrition facts at the back of a granola bar wrap aren't always a fact – and we are aware of that fact. But there are tests that we can do to determine the credibility of the seller and quality of the product or service, tests that the professionals or we can do.

Nissan Motor Corporation

Nissan is and has always been among the world's top five best Japanese car manufacturers. Its legacy and craftsmanship are known for decades for providing one of the best automobile qualities. Customers love many car manufacturers because of their affordability, and Nissan doesn't associate just affordability with its name, as this automaker has the dedication to making handcrafted high-performing vehicles. It promises reliability, affordability, comfort, and power, which manifests in its iconic creations like the Godzilla Nissan GT-R, Nissan Navara, Nissan Leaf, Nissan Terra, and its premium SUV Nissan Patrol.

Nissan Patrol

The 2022 Nissan Patrol is the brand's SUV offered at Php 4,548,000. Unlike its sibling SUV, the Nissan Terra, the Patro is more of an upscaled family wagon than a refined truck. It measures 5,270 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, and 1,955 mm tall, bigger than the Terra and some of its closest rivals in the segment, like the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Aside from its grand build, the Patrol also promises power. Its 5.6-liter V8 VK56VD direct-injection gasoline engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) can produce an impressive 405 ps at 5,800 rpm and 560 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and can drive all four wheels. By looking at the powertrain system figures of the Patrol, you'll get an idea why it costs almost five million pesos. And to tell the truth, having a V8 engine at this price is already a steal.

Aside from that, Nissan Patrol's eight-seater cabin is premium in every way. The seats are wider than your usual sedan seat, well-bolstered, and comfortable. The front seats even have climate control built in. Although the dashboard seems a bit dated in style, it still showcases a premium finish with high-quality leather, chrome accents, and Black Wood Veneer trims, fit for upstate people. Its 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a 13-speaker Bose sound system on board to reproduce sound in high fidelity.

The 2022 Patrol is also equipped with Nissan's Intelligent Safety Sense suite, which comes with one of the finest safety feature packages in the automotive industry. Six airbags surround the passengers, and driver aids such as the 4-wheel Active Brake Limited Slip system compliments the Patrol's Vehicle Dynamic Control. Nissan has proven that the Patrol Royale's features and performance are worth its price. We may not see the tiniest detail under its hood, but its greatness manifests in its performance and the peace of mind it affords.
