The Kia EV6 Has Landed, to be Priced Below Php 4M

Kia Philippines introduces electric mobility with a special preview of its highly anticipated its first dedicated electric vehicle, the Kia EV6 at the 8th Philippine International Motors Show. And according to Kia, it will be priced below Php 4 million when it starts sales next year.

As a special preview of Kia’s solution to achieving sustainability, the Kia EV6 is an all-electric crossover SUV that offers long-range (550+km), zero-emissions power, 800V ultra-fast charging, and distinct styling. With 350Nm torque, the EV6 can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 7.3 seconds. It comes with a 77.4 kWh battery pack that’s paired with a 168 kW (229ps) electric motor powering the rear wheels. The EV6 is Kia’s first car based on the company’s dedicated new platform for battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada shows off the brand's first true EV model at PIMS.

It’s all about ‘Movement That Inspires’ that sums up Kia’s exciting display at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). This showcases Kia’s move towards electric vehicles and, more importantly, sustainability. “Today, we begin our deliberate participation in the Electric Vehicle market as we move into the inflection point,” says Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada.  “Our event now is not simply another model introduction but also signifies Kia’s commitment to realizing our social responsibility through our 3S activities – sustainable mobility, sustainable energy, sustainable planet. Sustainability is a future not just for Kia as the Ayala group has committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050."

Joey Hong, Kia Asia Pacific Head of Sales reiterates the brand's commitment to the Philippine market which is now its second-largest market in ASEAN.

Apart from the EV6, Kia’s lineup of other innovative vehicles such as the Carnival, the Sorento, the Stonic, and the Soluto is on display. This enables everyone to take a closer look at what all the different models have to offer in terms of features.

From L-R: AC Motors President Toti Zara, Kia Asia Pacific Head of Sales Joey Hong, and Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada toast to welcome the Kia EV6.

In addition, the Kia booth also incorporates other exciting activities for young and old such as the Kia Vehicle to Load (V2L) Coffee Shop and an Interactive Motion Wall which is a digital art installation showcasing artistic interpretations of land, ocean, and air triggered by motion sensors.
