The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), announces the opening of the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) early today. “To say the least, almost every sector of society has experienced a major setback due to the impact of the pandemic and the automotive industry is no exception. Thankfully, we’re able to show resilience and resourcefulness as we strive to maintain the industry’s contribution to economic growth and to address the shifting demands of consumers” says CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez. “we are very pleased to report a 25.1% increase in year-to-date sales, and 19.5% year-on-year growth recorded in August” he added.
The 8th PIMS brings together 13 of the top automotive brands including long-term partners BMW, Foton, Honda, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota, as well as new members Chery, Geely, and Hyundai in unveiling their latest and most recent innovations that will drive the future of mobility.
Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI) is the exclusive auto financing partner and diamond sponsor of the motor show. Serving as the official mobility partner, Foton is providing 3 Modernized Jeepneys as shuttle service during the 4-day event. From 10AM to 7PM, the shuttles will ferry guests free of charge between two pickup points, World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center.
