Mazda Philippines updates its price list for 2023 with ₱20,000 to ₱50,000 increases

It's still early in 2023, but automakers are slowly adjusting the prices of their vehicles for the new year. While brands such as Toyota and Honda have already released their new pricing, Mazda Philippines is the latest Japanese brand to join in.

A quick check of the local website has revealed that the Japanese automaker has adjusted the pricing of specific models, which includes the Mazda 2, MX-5, CX-3, and the top variant of the recently updated CX-5.

Mazda’s pricing updates

The Mazda2, in its sole hatchback model, gets a price bump of ₱25,000, bumping its new SRP to ₱1,220,000 over its previous ₱1,195,000 price point.

Up the model lineup, the CX-3 also gets a price increase of ₱20,000. Its new pricing is now ₱1,510,000 from its previous ₱1,490,000.

Next is the Mazda CX-5, which gets a pricing increase of ₱50,000 for its AWD Turbo model, Its new pricing is now at  ₱2,430,000 from its previous  ₱2,380,000. The other crossover variants, such as the Sport and AWD Sport, retain their current pricing.

Mazda’s famous sports car, the MX-5, also gets a price update with a ₱30,000 to ₱50,000 depending on the variant chosen. Its SRP now ranges from ₱2,050,000 to ₱2,700,000 for the soft top models. The Mazda MX-5 RF also sees an increase with its price range starting from ₱2,350,000 to ₱2,850,000.

As additional information for the MX-5, its soft-top black interior configuration is now available for the 2023 model year. The new configuration adds to the list of available options under the Build your MX-5 program of Mazda Philippines and is priced at ₱2,200,000. However, Mazda Philippines has removed the red top option from the sports car lineup and replaced it with a new brown top option.

The updated pricing comes at the heels of supply and inventory issues that faced the brand in 2022, leaving long waiting lists for its various models.
