Sputing! 2024 Hyundai Elantra outs in South Korea

The facelifted version of the 2024 Hyundai Elantra has been revealed in South Korea to show sharper styling and a sleeker body compared to its previous version.

The new model takes what the previous iteration started and dials up the sharp looks to 11.

It gains a new pair of LED headlights with a more horizontally oriented design and a narrower grille. It also gets a new bumper and lower grille intake that ditches its foglights.

These new front changes give the sedan an even sportier demeanor compared to its previous iteration.

At the back, the 2024 Hyundai Elantra still carries its unique set of LED taillights and fastback-style rear window. The sedan also retains its ducktail-type spoiler to emphasize its sportier look.

However, Hyundai has slightly changed the rear bumper by adding a black-painted trim along the lower section and a revised diffuser.

On the inside, the Hyundai sedan’s cabin has been carried over from its previous iteration with only the new interior finish in “Sage Green,” making it distinct.

It still retains its 10.25-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster in the same size.

No engine options have been revealed for the 2024 model. However, we suspect the same range of turbocharged gasoline engines and hybrid powerplants could be still available for the sedan.

While the new Hyundai Elantra looks sharp, it is unavailable in the Philippine market.

As Hyundai has changed its distributor in the country, it has chosen to axe a few popular but slow-selling models such as the Accent and Elantra, in favor of crossovers which have steadily been on the rise.

As Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPI) is still relatively new, it could bring more vehicles to its local lineup once it has established itself again.

Could we soon see the return of popular nameplates such as Elantra and Accent in the next few months?
