Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc (HMPH) has more than one reason to celebrate as it opens Hyundai Makati, its newest dealership, to join its growing network.
The new dealership is situated in the automotive strip of Chino Roces Avenue Extension, a few meters away from EDSA and within the city’s Central Business District.
The facility has a showroom spanning 280 sq m, accommodating up to five vehicle displays. On top of that, the dealership also has a service area of 1,167 sq m with six work bays for regular vehicles and two for electric cars.
Hyundai Makati also marks the Gateway Group’s first dealership with the brand as the country’s first authorized retailer and service provider of electric vehicles. The facility is also the first in the Asia Pacific region to carry the new Hyundai Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) 2.0.
HMPH intends to provide options and help ease society's transition to an electrified lifestyle. The push for electrification begins with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (Specs | News) as the brand’s first flagship electric vehicle (EV).
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has won numerous international awards, including the prestigious World Car of The Year, World Electric Vehicle of the Year, and World Car Design of the Year for 2022. It is available in two variants, the Long Range 2WD, which retails for ₱3,698,000, and the Standard Range 2WD, which comes at ₱3,068,000.
The EV has four color options: Abyss Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Atlas White, and Gravity Gold, the only one in a matte finish.
HMPH is ready to support these vehicles as the necessary after-sales support, from facility readiness to the training of certified technicians, also form part of this undertaking.
The new Hyundai Makati dealership is also equipped with a 22KW AC Charger and a 50KW DC Charger; the latter enables battery capacity to reach 80% from 20% in as fast as 30 minutes.
The remaining four other dealerships are set to launch this year, with Alabang, Cebu North, Pampanga, and Pasig being eyed as the locations. All these facilities shall be prepared for “recovery and repair.” Each carries specialized Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) service tools and equipment and standard safety aids
Hyundai Makai features the Hyundai Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI). It gives the facility a more customer-centric retail experience. From “Modern Premium” to “Richness in Simplicity,” the 2.0 version aims to curate a refined environment where customers will better enjoy the showroom while discovering the latest Hyundai vehicles without feeling pressured.
The dealership will have the following as part of the GSDI:
