The start of electrification: Peugeot Philippines set to preview new Peugeot e-2008 at MIAS

Peugeot Philippines is set to electrify the 2023 Manila International Auto Show by previewing its new 2023 Peugeot e-2008 crossover on April 13.

The Lion brand’s reveal of the Peugeot e-2008 brings to fruition its electrification plan of bringing new models and technologies to its vehicle range. It also fulfills its goal of having an electric version of every vehicle in 2023.

Peugeot will be the first Stellantis brand to launch the group’s new generation of electric vehicles emphasizing their shared goal of giving as many people as possible access to electrified mobility.

“The unveiling of the PEUGEOT e-2008 at the MIAS is intended to give our customers a glimpse into the electrification of the Peugeot lineup. PEUGEOT has been pioneering electric vehicles since 1941, and the coming of the e-2008 to the Philippines culminates more than 80 years of expertise,” said Maricar Parco, brand head of Peugeot, Astara Philippines.

There has yet to be word as to if or when Peugeot Philippines will officially bring in the Peugeot e-2008. It appears the display is there to gauge the reaction of the car-buying public first before anything is set in stone.

However, we can expect the e-2008 to have a range of about 380 kilometers on a single full charge and a 50-minute wait for it to reach from 0 to 80% battery charge using a 50 kW fast charger.

Aside from the new 2023 Peugeot e-2008, the French brand will also showcase its expanded model range offered at special exclusive prices during the auto show.

On display will be the regular turbocharged gasoline version of the Peugeot 2008, the versatile and comfortable Peugeot 3008 SUV, and the distinctive and elegant 7-seater Peugeot 5008 SUV.

Also to be showcased is the brand’s spacious people mover, the Peugeot Traveller Premium van.

Attendees for the auto show can expect test drives of the Peugeot 2008, 3008, and 5008 SUVs at the event.

“As with every model in our lineup, including other electric vehicles that we will launch in the future, each vehicle roars with its fierce design, imposing style, sheer driving pleasure, and sophisticated technologies. Every PEUGEOT is a masterful work of art with the heart of a lion,” added Parco.

Given the brand's stylish lineup, are you also expecting a fashion show from Peugeot Philippines at MIAS?
