Honda Cars has done it again as its newest model, the 2024 Honda CR-V, got a 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.

It is good news for Filipino buyers as the new crossover is set to arrive in the local market on Sept. 13, 2023, sporting its new design and new turbocharged and hybrid drivetrains.

The pricing for the all-new model has been released, starting out at ₱2,150,000 for the entry-level turbocharged model and topping off at ₱2,600,000 for the all-new hybrid variant.

With its new controversial pricing out of the way, let's move on to its ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) score breakdown.

For the crash test, Honda provided the EL-AWD version of the Honda CR-V.

This variant could translate to the 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD crossover variant. It has eight airbags, autonomous braking capability, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, lane keep assist and driver attention monitor.

The crossover also comes with the brand’s Honda SENSING suite of technology, which gives it features such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking for motorcycles and blind spot detection, which is only available on the passenger side.

  • Adult occupant protection (40)
  • Child occupant protection (20)
  • Safety assist (20)
  • Motorcyclist safety (20)

  • Adult occupant protection – 39.31/40
  • Child occupant protection – 17.97/20
  • Safety assist – 18.57/20
  • Motorcyclist safety – 11.32/20
