Mazda fans, rejoice!

Mazda Philippines has given the 2024 Mazda3 a quiet update, giving the vehicle more human-centric technologies and promoting the brand’s Jinbai-Ittai philosophy while reinforcing the car as one of the most feature-packed in its segment.

Enhanced connectivity

Enhancements to the 2024 Mazda3 start with its bigger Mazda Connect infotainment system. From its original 8-inch configuration, the Japanese automaker has given the vehicle a much larger 10.25-inch display with better graphics.

Aside from this, the car also gets Wireless Apple CarPlay, dual USB ports, and a new wireless charger to complete the set.

Auto folding mirrors that automatically retract when the car is locked have also been added to the nameplate.

These are also on top of the standard features that the Mazda3 has, such as a 12-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, an electric sunroof, and a heads-up display.

Interior updates

Inside, the updated Mazda3 also has a few interior updates, as the car now has new chrome accents on the start/stop button ring, a new steering wheel horn pad, and a new glove box handle.

Exterior updates

On the outside, the Mazda3 retains its KODO design language with its sporty and sleek form. For its latest update, the Japanese automaker has given the 18-inch wheels of the Sport variant new colors with a Bright Silver finish. Meanwhile, the Mazda3 Fastback gets a Black Metallic finish to distinguish it from its sedan counterpart.

The car also receives an adaptive front-lighting system for its LED headlights that optimizes light distribution from the headlights depending on the driving circumstances. It also points the headlights in the direction the driver intends to go, giving them the vision they need.

The updated car has seven colors available for its 2024 update: Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Platinum Quartz, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue, and Jet Black.

Familiar engine options

Under the hood, the Sport variants of the Mazda3 are still powered by the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G that produces 155 PS and 200 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifts and sport mode.

The other engine option is a 2.0-liter mild-hybrid powerplant with a compact integrated motor and a lightweight lithium-ion battery that generates an additional 6.9 PS and 49 Nm of torque from what the Sport models offer. The hybrid model gets better off-the-line acceleration while reducing the engine’s load for increased fuel efficiency.

Mazda has also upgraded the safety features of the vehicle by giving it the following:

  • Front Cross Traffic Alert
  • Front Cross Brake Support
  • Rear Cross Brake Support
  • Driver Monitoring System

It still retains its other standard features available before the update.

As for its pricing, the 2024 Mazda3 is as follows:

  • Sport Sedan - ₱1,510,000
  • Sport Fastback - ₱1,510,000
  • HEV Sedan - ₱1,790,000
  • HEV Fastback - ₱1,790,000
