Official photos of the 2023 Honda Elevate have been released online on the website of Honda India.
The new crossover was designed for India and other emerging markets, which could mean it is a likely candidate for the Philippine market.
BR-V-like exterior
It reveals the new 5-seater crossover with a similar face to the Honda BR-V but with a much more prominent grille, a broader chrome accent, and sleek LED headlights.
It retains much styling dynamics as its 7-seater brother but with a different front bumper and foglight bezels. However, the wheel design is the same for the Honda Elevate.
At the rear, it again looks much like its BR-V sibling but has a more horizontally oriented set of LED taillights that borrows a bit of styling from the Honda HR-V.
As for its dimensions, it is as follows:
Length 4,312 mm.
Width 1,790 mm.
Height 1,650 mm.
Wheelbase 2,650 mm.
It also comes with a 5.3-meter turning radius and 220 mm of ground clearance, more than its bigger siblings, the CR-V and the BR-V.
City-based inteiror
As the Honda Elevate is based on the Honda City platform, it gets a similar minimalist and horizontally designed dashboard. However, we have to point out the cabin comes with light brown leather accents and faux wood grain on the dashboard.
It retains a floating infotainment system with Apple Carply and Android Auto. It also features automatic climate controls along with a wireless charger.
Gasoline and hybrid powertrains
Under the hood, the Honda Elevate is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, similar to what you can find inside the Honda BR-V and Honda City. It is also available with a six-speed manual transmission and a CVT.
Aside from this, the new crossover also gets a 1.5-liter hybrid drivetrain with a Lithium-ion battery pack. Its gasoline engine alone produces 98 horsepower and 127 Nm of torque. However, when paired with its two electric motors, the crossover makes 109 horsepower and 254 Nm of torque with an e-CVT.
As for its safety features, the Honda Elevate has:
Stability control system VSA
Anti-traction system TRC
Hill Start Assist
Tire pressure warning system TPMS
Honda LaneWatch
Six airbags
Honda SENSING
Automatic high-beam adjustment system
Lane Keep Assist
Collision warning system
Autonomous braking
Adaptive cruise control
